Packaging Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Packaging Supervisor to oversee our packaging operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in beer production and packaging, with a focus on packaging processes. The Packaging Line Supervisor will be responsible for managing a team of packaging line operators, ensuring the efficient and timely production of canned beer while maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the packaging line operators to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the packaging line
• Monitor production schedules and adjust as needed to meet demand and deadlines
• Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that canned beer meets brewery standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the packaging process
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packaging line area
• Train new employees on packaging line procedures and safety protocols
• Collaborate with other brewery departments to coordinate production schedules and ensure timely delivery of canned beer
• Maintain accurate records of production data and inventory levels
• Building case flats
• Building pallets of beer and other materials
• Operation of keg washer and pasteurizer
• Organization of production warehouse spaces and walk-in beer cooler
• Operation of floor scrubber
• Cleaning and organization of packaging equipment and consumables
• Applying Paktechs

The perfect candidate should have the following qualifications:

• Works great with teams, but is also self-motivated and aware of duties that may not be particularly outlined week to week, as well as following our production schedule.
• Able to work 40 hours with some opportunities for overtime on some weeks - someone who is prepared to stay until the job is done
• Works fast, efficiently, and thoroughly
• Has a drive to learn and grow within the company
• Neat and orderly - puts things back where they came from when not in use
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for learning about beer and brewing
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds above their head
• Able to problem solve with and without a team
• Basic computer and math skills
• Strong communicator and well organized and punctual with timing

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a brewery production or packaging role, with a focus on packaging operations
• Strong knowledge of beer production processes, equipment, and quality standards
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Prior warehouse or production experience (outside of beer)
• Forklift training or certification

Our compensation package includes a starting pay of $24 an hour with performance-based raises.
